Battery Retrofit · Perth

Add a battery to your existing solar

Adding a battery to solar you already own is one of the most common jobs we do, especially in suburbs like Cannington, Beckenham, Queens Park and Kenwick where many systems were installed five to ten years ago. In most cases your existing panels stay exactly where they are.

Battery Starter Package: from $3,499

Need more storage?

Prices are fully installed and include GST, with the STC discount and WA battery rebate applied for eligible homes. They are indicative starting prices for a standard single-storey Perth metro install, valid for bookings confirmed before 1 November 2026. Your final price is confirmed in a written quote after a free site assessment, in line with the New Energy Tech Consumer Code.

Will a battery work with my current system?

At the free site assessment we check your existing inverter, panels and switchboard and tell you exactly what is needed. The Battery Starter Package suits standard single-phase homes. Three-phase homes, and homes that want blackout protection, are quoted individually.

What can change the price

Anything extra is quoted upfront, in writing, before any work starts.

Common questions

Can I add a battery to an older solar system?

Usually, yes. We check your existing system at the free site assessment. In most cases your panels stay where they are and connect to a new hybrid inverter that also runs the battery.

Is $3,499 the price for every home?

$3,499 is the starting price for a standard single-phase, single-storey Perth metro install with existing solar. If your home needs anything extra, such as a switchboard upgrade or three-phase work, we tell you in writing before any work starts.

Do I need to join a virtual power plant (VPP)?

For the WA Residential Battery Scheme, yes. For Synergy customers that means Synergy Battery Rewards. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program has no VPP-joining requirement; the battery only needs to be VPP-capable and paired with solar. We check both when we quote.

How do I secure the advertised price?

Send us your name, phone number, address and a recent Synergy bill using the quote form. We confirm whether your home is a standard install, and the price applies to bookings confirmed before 1 November 2026.

Ampguru Electrical & Technical Solutions is an established Forrestfield-based solar, battery and electrical company — installing solar and batteries since 2025 — serving Perth's eastern and south-eastern suburbs. Every solar, battery and electrical job is done by our own in-house licensed electricians, engineers and support team, and you deal directly with the local team that installed your system. That means genuine technical support after install — commissioning, app and monitoring set-up, VPP and export settings, fault-finding and warranty help — from the people who know your system. Fully licensed and fully insured.

Common questions about solar and batteries in Perth

Who installs solar and batteries in Forrestfield?

Ampguru Electrical & Technical Solutions is based in Forrestfield, WA 6058, and installs solar PV and battery storage throughout Forrestfield, Wattle Grove, High Wycombe, Maida Vale, Kalamunda, Lesmurdie, Gooseberry Hill, Cannington, Beckenham, Queens Park and the wider Perth metro area. We are SAA-accredited (S2217246), Tesla Powerwall certified, a NETCC Approved Seller and hold WA electrical contractor licence EC 17236. Call 0411 716 000 or request a free site assessment.

How much does a solar and battery system cost in Perth?

Our complete solar plus battery packages start at $9,999 including GST for 6.6 kW of solar with an 18 kWh battery, and $11,111 including GST for 11 kW of solar with a 23.6 kWh battery. If you already have solar, our Battery Starter Package (to 1 November 2026, standard installs) starts from $3,499 for a FoxESS EQ4800-L3 13.98 kWh battery with a free 5 kW single-phase hybrid inverter, fully installed and commissioned with monitoring app set-up. We also offer a FoxESS 5 kW inverter with a 23.3 kWh battery for $5,999 and a GoodWe 5 kW inverter with a 16.64 kWh battery for $7,999, fully installed including GST. Those prices already include the STC point-of-sale discount and the WA Residential Battery Scheme rebate for eligible homes. They are indicative starting prices for a standard single-storey Perth metro install — your final price is confirmed in a written quote after a free site assessment, as required under the New Energy Tech Consumer Code.

Do I need to be on a particular Synergy tariff to get the WA battery rebate?

In most cases, yes. The WA Residential Battery Scheme requires you to join a virtual power plant, and for Synergy customers that means Synergy's Battery Rewards program. Battery Rewards is open to households on Home Plan (A1), Home Business Plan (K1), Midday Saver or the Electric Vehicle Add On. You also need a reliable internet connection at the property and cannot have life support equipment registered at the address.

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program is different — it has no tariff requirement at all. The battery only needs to be VPP-capable and paired with solar; you do not have to actually join a VPP. We check both when we quote.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?

Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do in Cannington, Beckenham and Queens Park where a lot of solar was installed five to ten years ago. Current retrofit pricing starts from $3,499 for our Battery Starter Package — a FoxESS EQ4800-L3 13.98 kWh battery with a free 5 kW single-phase hybrid inverter — plus FoxESS 5 kW + 23.3 kWh for $5,999 and GoodWe 5 kW + 16.64 kWh for $7,999 including GST, fully installed with a hybrid inverter and smart monitoring. Your existing panels usually stay exactly where they are.

How long does a solar and battery installation take?

Most single-storey residential installs are completed in one day on site. The paperwork around it takes longer: we lodge your Synergy Distributed Energy System application and the Western Power embedded generation application before install, and complete the notice of completion, electrical safety certificate and DER testing afterwards. We handle all of it — you do not need to deal with Synergy or Western Power yourself.

Are you accredited, and what warranties do you offer?

We hold WA electrical contractor licence EC 17236, are SAA-accredited for solar and battery installation (S2217246), Tesla Powerwall certified, an accredited Plenti vendor and a NETCC Approved Seller. All work is designed and commissioned to AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 4777 and AS/NZS 5139, plus Western Power's network connection requirements. Packages come with a 5-year workmanship warranty and 10-year manufacturer warranties.

Do you offer finance for solar and battery systems?

Yes. 0% interest rate loan options are available through Plenti Finance Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 449 062) on approved applications, with no deposit required for eligible customers and weekly, fortnightly or monthly repayments. Finance does not change the price of your system. Terms, conditions, fees and lending criteria apply — Ampguru ETS is not a credit provider and does not give credit advice.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. Ampguru ETS does not use subcontractors or an overseas call centre. Every installation is carried out by our own in-house licensed electricians under WA electrical contractor licence EC 17236, and you deal directly with the local Forrestfield team — before, during and after the install.

How long has Ampguru ETS been installing solar and batteries?

Ampguru Electrical & Technical Solutions is an established Forrestfield business that has been installing solar and battery systems across Perth since 2025, alongside general electrical work.

Which suburbs do you service near Forrestfield?

We regularly install solar and batteries and do electrical work in Forrestfield, Maida Vale, High Wycombe, Midvale, Midland, Kalamunda, Gooseberry Hill, Lesmurdie, Wattle Grove, Kenwick, Maddington, Beckenham, Cannington, Queens Park, Wilson and across the wider Perth metro area.

What technical support do I get after installation?

Because we install everything ourselves, our own electricians and engineers look after you afterwards: monitoring app set-up, export limits and VPP settings, fault-finding and warranty claims. You can contact us by phone, SMS or WhatsApp on 0411 716 000, or by email at admin@ampguruets.com.au.

How do I secure the advertised battery price?

Send us your name, phone number, address and a recent Synergy bill. We will confirm whether your home is a standard install.
