Ampguru Electrical & Technical Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 78 689 530 032), trading as Ampguru ETS ("we", "us", "our"), is a Perth Hills-based electrical contractor (Licence EC 17236). We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) when handling personal information.
2. What information we collect
We collect personal information you provide to us through our website quote forms, by phone, or in person:
- Name and contact details (phone, email, address, suburb & postcode)
- Property details relevant to your quote (roof type, energy use, existing solar/battery, switchboard photos)
- Payment details (collected and processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers)
- Records of correspondence and service history
- For solar/battery installations: information required for STC creation, Synergy/Western Power applications, and the Clean Energy Regulator
3. How we use your information
- Provide quotes, schedule and perform installations or services
- Submit STC paperwork and grid-connection applications on your behalf
- Issue invoices and accept payment
- Honour warranties and provide ongoing support
- Comply with legal obligations (electrical safety records, tax, audit)
- Occasional service reminders or safety notices (you can opt out)
4. When we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where necessary to deliver your service or comply with the law, including with:
- The Clean Energy Regulator (STC creation) and Solar Accreditation Australia
- Western Power and your electricity retailer (grid connection / metering)
- Equipment manufacturers (warranty registration)
- Subcontractors directly involved in your job (bound by confidentiality)
- Our accountant, insurer, or legal advisor
- Government bodies where required by law
5. Storage and security
Personal information is stored in secure cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, accounting/CRM platforms hosted in Australia where available). Access is restricted to authorised personnel. We retain records for at least 7 years to comply with electrical safety, tax, and STC scheme requirements.
6. Cookies and website analytics
Our website (ampguruets.com.au) is hosted on Netlify. We may use anonymised analytics to understand how the site is used (e.g. page views, traffic sources). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
7. Quote form submissions
When you submit a quote request, the information is transmitted via
Netlify Forms and delivered to our business inbox (
admin@ampguruets.com.au). Form submissions are stored in our Netlify dashboard for up to 90 days and in our records for the duration of the customer relationship.
8. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act you can:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Lodge a complaint about our handling of your information
