Our complete solar plus battery packages start at $9,999 including GST for 6.6 kW of solar with an 18 kWh battery, and $11,111 including GST for 11 kW of solar with a 23.6 kWh battery. If you already have solar, battery-only retrofits start from $4,999.99 including GST. Those prices are fully installed and already include the STC point-of-sale discount and the WA Residential Battery Scheme rebate for eligible homes. They are indicative starting prices for a standard single-storey Perth metro install — your final price is confirmed in a written quote after a free site assessment, as required under the New Energy Tech Consumer Code.
Effectively yes. The WA Residential Battery Scheme requires you to join a virtual power plant, and for Synergy customers that means Synergy's Battery Rewards program. Battery Rewards is open to households on Home Plan (A1), Home Business Plan (K1), Midday Saver or the Electric Vehicle Add On. You also need a reliable internet connection at the property and cannot have life support equipment registered at the address.
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program is different — it has no tariff requirement at all. The battery only needs to be VPP-capable and paired with solar; you do not have to actually join a VPP. We check both when we quote.
Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do in Cannington, Beckenham and Queens Park where a lot of solar was installed five to ten years ago. We offer FoxESS, GoodWe and Sigenergy retrofit packages starting from $4,999.99 including GST, fully installed with a hybrid inverter and smart monitoring. Your existing panels usually stay exactly where they are.
Most single-storey residential installs are completed in one day on site. The paperwork around it takes longer: we lodge your Synergy Distributed Energy System application and the Western Power embedded generation application before install, and complete the notice of completion, electrical safety certificate and DER testing afterwards. We handle all of it — you do not need to deal with Synergy or Western Power yourself.
